Air Radiators has delivered a new Heat Exchanger to Veolia Environmental Services in Adelaide that has given the team at Lara a worthy challenge from design through to manufacture. The unit manufactured by Air Radiators is a replacement for an existing Heat Exchanger that is operating within a waste incinerator.
The challenge came to Air Radiators when Veolia wanted to find a local supplier who could engineer and design a direct replacement for the 7 year old cooler that was originally manufactured in France.
The Air Radiators design team working from 20 year old drawings painstakingly constructed a replacement heat exchanger solution in 3D CAD, providing Veolia with the confidence required to place the order for manufacture with a local Australian company!
In the manufacturing phase the operations team at Air Radiators has expanded their knowledge and capability in welding, certifying 6 welders to the latest Australian standards for pressure vessels. The mammoth 4m x 4m tube bundle (comprising 620 tubes) was completed in Lara and is currently undergoing installation at the plant in South Australia.
